Description

The EBRD currently seeks to employ one intern for a period of 6 months. The intern will be based in Vladivostok, Russia, and he/she will work in close collaboration with the Head of Far Eastern Federal District in Vladivostok office.The intern will support the project related process in monitoring and marketing, perform relevant regional research, prepare briefing, analytical and meeting notes, accompany the Head of Regional Office at business meetings, provide necessary administrative and analytical support.
The intern will be expected to:
  • Liaise, as appropriate, with the relevant internal support functions, regional and sector teams.
  • Provide support in regional business and economy research, data gathering and preparing background economical and business information.
  • Monitor developments in the region and follow business and economy news and prepare monthly summary reports.
  • Draft internal and external correspondence, documents and memos required during the project cycle.
  • Prepare marketing materials and presentations and keep updated marketing databases.
  • Attend business meetings with the Head of Regional Office and other staff where appropriate and liaise with clients and consultants in the course of projects preparation and monitoring.
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Perform financial analysis of companies and evaluation of investment projects including building of basic financial projections and cash flow models.

Eligibility

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education (e.g. business administration, accounting, economics, finance, banking).
  • Knowledge of key aspects of the Far Eastern Region (geography, regional economy structure and market trends, key market leaders and businesses).
  • Very good written (report writing, correspondence) and verbal communication skills in English and Russian are essential.
  • Computer literacy, including very good knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel.

Remuneration

Interns are remunerated according to their level of education and work experience, but are not entitled to staff benefits (including any accommodation and travel assistance), privileges and immunities.

Volunteer must have specific personal or professional interest related to the theme of the hosting project

Volunteer must be show interest in the project by gathering information about the hosting country and start some preparation work on his/her own.
Volunteer is preferably already active in the SO

We have the pleasure to announce that the 6th Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on 29 and 30 August 2014. The theme of the Forum will be “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values”.
This Forum will bring together participants including youth, political and corporate leaders, civil society activists, representatives of faith communities, journalists, etc. to work together and agree on joint actions to improve relations across cultures and religions and build a lasting peace. 
A total of 100 youth from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and with outstanding track records in intercultural dialogue and youth work will be selected as participants of the Youth Event which will take place on 28 August 2014. A total of 40 places will be allocated to international participants and 60 places will be allocated to Indonesian participants.
The topic of the Youth Event will focus on “The Role of Youth in Promoting “Unity in Diversity” through Education, Media, and Migration”. Participants selected for the Youth Event will join other participants to the 6th UNAOC Forum on 29 and 30 August 2014.
The Youth Event will be output-oriented and will focus on collective reflectionrather than on presentations of individual projects implemented by youth organizations at the event. In addition, it will help youth establish contacts, actively exchange and explore how they can collaborate together, before and after the Forum. Youth will be invited to multiply the results of the Youth Event and the Forum after they return home. The tentative program of the Youth Event and the 6th UNAOC Forum will be available on-line in July 2014.

The Indonesian government is offering some support for the 100 youth representatives wishing to attend the UNAOC Forum in Bali. More details below.

Covered by host: International airfare (round trip ticket, departure from the capital only, economy class, most direct route, no changes on route or dates possible), accommodation (shared accommodation with other participants of the same gender), local meals on 28, 29 and 30 August 2014, as well as local transportation (shuttle bus).
Covered by participants: Transportation to and from the capital airport in the country of residence is to be covered by the participants. Participants are also responsible for obtaining necessary visas for Indonesia as well as transit visas. Participants will need to cover all visa related costs (fees, pictures, mailing, local transportation needed to obtain any of these visas). Participants must obtain their own travel and medical insurance for their stay in Bali. Participants also need to possess adequate money for incidental expenses such as phone calls, meals outside of the Forum venue, souvenirs, taxis, etc.
For Indonesian participants:

Organization: applicants are members of non-government and non-for-profit youth-led organizations (organizations led by youth for the benefit of youth), or have experience in youth activities. Mandate of the youth organization or youth activities is related to the UNAOC’s objectives.
English: applicants have a good command of English is required to take part in the 6th UNAOC Youth Event and Forum.

Who we are
The “Agios Vlasios” Chronically Diseases Infirmary of the Holy Metropolis of
Thiva & Levadia is an elderly care center that aims to offer treatment,
affection and care to people of both sexes with priority those suffering with
chronically diseases.
Working environment
The working facilities are modern inside the hospitable 3-floor building with
comfortable sitting and refreshing room. There is a seminar room with 200
persons capacity that is also used as an indoor group activities’ room. There
is a restaurant and conservatory along the 2 floors and 34 rooms divided
between the 2 floors with view to the gardens. The Infirmary operates in 3
shifts a day.
Accommodation
Volunteers accommodation will be in a multi-room rented apartment (1 person
per room), with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, hallway, common sitting
room located in Levadia city. Two persons per apartment are allowed.
Food
Food is provided at the Center's facilities cooked by professional cooks, for
everyday and a food allowance is given for breakfast and extra food upon
receipt.
Transportation
The volunteers transportation will arranged by the Institution. Which will
provide to them daily, a driver who takes them at work and back home with
institution’s vehicle.
Volunteers’ tasks
The proposed voluntary services in the Chronically Diseases Infirmary for
elderly persons include:
a) Voluntary service will follow the daily program of the Infirmary with the
personal care of the elderly such as facial cleaning and beauty, serving water
and food, walking them around the Infirmary.
b) Voluntary service with weekly creative activities for the elderly such as
handicrafts, physical education, music, communication, free time
entertainment and walking companion to the city, through individual and group
activities.

- motivated to learn basic Greek phrases in a short time;
- playing an musical instrument which will be mostly appreciated;
- able to communicate in english.
Learning opportunities
Volunteers will learn how to apply practical techniques for all mentioned works
and will acquire and share knowledge and skills in social services.
Their daily tasks and dexterities will be recorded in the Youthpass at the end
of their service.
Conditions
This project seeks funding by the EU Youth in Action Programme, Action 2 –
European Voluntary Service and according to the rules accommodation and
food will be provided by the organizers along with one return ticket to the
venue covered up to 90 % of its cost. There is also pocket money allowance
for the volunteer per month.
