Themes of the seminar:
Youth work: professional or voluntary work? – sharing different realities.
What makes youth work professional work? – exchanging good practices local and international level. 
Who is youth worker, what kind of competences, values, experiences a youth worker have to have?
What type of activities, methods and tools we can use as youth workers in order to reach, motivate, involve, develop and improve young people according to their needs? 
Quality aspects of youth work: competence development through non – formal and experiential education.
The overall aim of the seminar is to provide space for youth workers as professional and voluntary based from EU, SEE and EECA countries to share their realities, challenges and good practices as youth workers and define who can make youth work. Exchange experiences, ideas and suggestions regarding to competence development and different roles of youth workers and how to improve youth work field generally and voluntary work specifically.
Learning objectives of the seminar are:
- To define the competences and roles of youth worker;
- To assess the political, cultural, economic and geographical aspects of youth work and voluntary work.
- To exchange good practices of youth work activities, tools and methods and assess why they work with young people successfully.
- To recognise the importance and core elements of non – formal learning in youth work.
- To prepare a proposal for quality standards of youth work;
- To raise the quality aspects of youth work through sharing and inventing new local and international projects based on competence development of young people with fewer opportunities.

Costs

The food and accommodation will be provided and paid by the organizers. 70% of travels costs will be reimbursed either by bank transfer after the course or at the end of the course in cash (in Euros €). It may be that money from European Commission will be late; in that case, as mentioned, you will get your reimbursement after the course by bank transfer (be ready for that). 
There will be 30EUR participation fee!

What: International Training Course on managing and raising awareness of Women’s rights in labour. When: August 16-23, 2014

Youth In. is seeking 2 highly motivated participants who wish to learn more on women’s rights, the problems they face in connection to the labour force and employment and how to manage solution-effective strategies of the topic. The event will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, between August 16 – 23, and is arranged by The Turkish organization Active Citizens Europe in collaboration with Youth Innovatum.
This project will use the non-formal method of learning, meaning participants will gain knowledge through practical tools. Through intercultural dialogue, participants will be able to compare and share their own experiences while trying to find practical ways to approach to the problems.
As this is an international training course, the participants will also have the chance to create a valuable network with other international participants from different countries. All participants will receive a certificate of training at the end of the project.
Food, accommodation and 70% of the travel costs are covered. Please remember if you are selected you will have to buy your plane ticket beforehand, and will get the reimbursement of 70%, on the last day of the project.

Description

SpeakOut! 2014 is taking place in the International City of Peace and Justice – The Hague, Netherlands from June 25th to June 27th.
SpeakOut! is a unique three-day program of workshops which intends to bring together UNPO Members youth and young human rights activists to give them necessary means and skills to be effective in human rights lobbying and advocacy. The main target group of the event is youth aged 18-32, but older applicants will be considered.
The aim of SpeakOut! is to successfully train young activists to become reliable channels of human rights advocacy. With the support of interactive workshops and UNPO-designed study materials, participants will gain knowledge on effective Human Rights advocacy, United Nations tools and mechanisms, grassroots funding, and effective lobbying practices. Particularly, this year’s workshops will focus on communication and human rights, ranging from internet security to human rights campaigning.

In international exchanges very often we use old games with tools used for a long time. Throughout its group of job, Pepita is always updated. It studies and creates new animated skills destinated to the youth people and not only.
Playing Europe is a training course in order to put knowledge and personal experiences about games and energizers directly addressed to the young people during international exchanges or local projects. Pepita, with its professional experience in the field of nonformal education for the figures of educators and trainers, can offers a training course in order to be updated about the main youth activities.
This project will teach new games, but especially it will teach how to prepare a game, using needs and a bit of creativity, also using some simple material that all people can easily find it. Pepita will use the manuals written about educational games to improve skills of participants. The objectives of this project are: provide new ways of involving young people; teach games specifically designed to build the group based on a specific target; providing the tools for managing the working groups and to learn how to educate young people, playing, having fun. The most important part of the projects aimed at young people is education, but because there is not a formality, the methods to be used must be “easy going”.
Precisely this is based on the need for many organizations. Often youth workers are people who have experience of participation in projects and exchanges of youth policies, but not enough to be young and to participate in activities and initiatives comparison between peers, you must have the techniques, you should be able to “educate” . Precisely for this reason the course was studied .
You want to respond to a need of many operators of various youth organizations, who must learn to transmit important messages, they must teach young people to grow up, they help kids to increase their skills. It is not enough to know how to play, it must be done with precise techniques, because the game is a vehicle for teaching.
Costs
Registration fee is 300 euro per person. Travel, visa costs, accommodation and meals must be covered by the participant. Upon participant’s request, we can help in finding the best solutions for accomodation in a central position and to give assistance in organizing their staying. Tuition, material and gadgets costs are fully covered.

SOHO aims at enhancing quality of EVS projects through development of essential competences of support persons. It also provides up-to-date information to its participants on the opportunities given by the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.
The SOHO training course is designed for those who are directly involved in the support system around the EVS volunteer (e.g. mentors and task-related support persons) on the hosting, sending and coordinating side. The support people play a crucial role in providing conditions for a quality voluntary service and creating opportunities for volunteer’s learning in EVS.
The overall aim of the SOHO training course is:
• To increase the quality of EVS activities through development of competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) of key actors involved in the support system around the volunteer in the EVS projects developed within the frame of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.
The specific objectives of the SOHO course are:
• To get a better understanding of the concept of EVS as “learning service” and related quality aspects in EVS
• To improve the ability for co-operation and working in international partnership
• To reflect on the roles, responsibilities and challenges within the EVS volunteer support system
• To raise awareness of the learning dimension in EVS and provide tools for learning support
• To support the recognition of non-formal learning in EVS through the competent implementation of Youthpass
• To provide up-to-date information about the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.
In addition to this, SOHO training is an excellent opportunity for EVS support persons to exchange their experiences, share good practices and for informal partnership building. We have the pleasure to announce that the 6th Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on 29 and 30 August 2014. The theme of the Forum will be “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values”.
This Forum will bring together participants including youth, political and corporate leaders, civil society activists, representatives of faith communities, journalists, etc. to work together and agree on joint actions to improve relations across cultures and religions and build a lasting peace. 
A total of 100 youth from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and with outstanding track records in intercultural dialogue and youth work will be selected as participants of the Youth Event which will take place on 28 August 2014. A total of 40 places will be allocated to international participants and 60 places will be allocated to Indonesian participants.
The topic of the Youth Event will focus on “The Role of Youth in Promoting “Unity in Diversity” through Education, Media, and Migration”. Participants selected for the Youth Event will join other participants to the 6th UNAOC Forum on 29 and 30 August 2014.
The Youth Event will be output-oriented and will focus on collective reflectionrather than on presentations of individual projects implemented by youth organizations at the event. In addition, it will help youth establish contacts, actively exchange and explore how they can collaborate together, before and after the Forum. Youth will be invited to multiply the results of the Youth Event and the Forum after they return home. The tentative program of the Youth Event and the 6th UNAOC Forum will be available on-line in July 2014.

The Indonesian government is offering some support for the 100 youth representatives wishing to attend the UNAOC Forum in Bali. More details below.
For international participants:
Covered by host: International airfare (round trip ticket, departure from the capital only, economy class, most direct route, no changes on route or dates possible), accommodation (shared accommodation with other participants of the same gender), local meals on 28, 29 and 30 August 2014, as well as local transportation (shuttle bus).
Covered by participants: Transportation to and from the capital airport in the country of residence is to be covered by the participants. Participants are also responsible for obtaining necessary visas for Indonesia as well as transit visas. Participants will need to cover all visa related costs (fees, pictures, mailing, local transportation needed to obtain any of these visas). Participants must obtain their own travel and medical insurance for their stay in Bali. Participants also need to possess adequate money for incidental expenses such as phone calls, meals outside of the Forum venue, souvenirs, taxis, etc.
For Indonesian participants:
Covered by host: Airfare (round trip ticket, departure from the closest domestic airport, economy class, most direct route, no changes on route or dates possible), accommodation (shared accommodation with other participants of the same gender), local meals on 28, 29 and 30 August 2014, as well as local transportation (shuttle bus).
Covered by participants: Participants need to possess adequate money for incidental expenses such as phone calls, meals outside of the Forum venue, souvenirs, taxis, etc.
For these 100 places at the Youth Event, eligibility criteria are as follows:
Age: applicants are between the ages of 18 years old and 30 years old at the time of the Youth Event.
Organization: applicants are members of non-government and non-for-profit youth-led organizations (organizations led by youth for the benefit of youth), or have experience in youth activities. Mandate of the youth organization or youth activities is related to the UNAOC’s objectives.
English: applicants have a good command of English is required to take part in the 6th UNAOC Youth Event and Forum.

The selection of participants will be done according to the following criteria:
Interest: Applicant is highly motivated to attend and will substantively contribute to the Youth Event, as well as to the 6th UNAOC Forum (35 points);
Exposure: The applicant has shown past experience related to the UNAOC issues/focusing on cross-cultural dialogue (30 points);
Impact: The applicant and his/her organization have the capacity to disseminate the results of the 6th UNAOC Forum back to the youth community (e.g. access to a large network of youth or youth organizations at a local level) (35 points);
Please note that there are only 100 places for the Youth Event and that participation is solely based on this application process.
